Why this site exists
Search for how to get rich and you get two things: platitudes with no numbers, and funnels selling a course. Both leave out the part that decides everything - what a strategy actually costs you in money, time and risk before it pays anything back.
How techniques get rated
Every technique is described on the same six scales: capital required, time to first income, effort model, risk, competition and income ceiling. The ratings come from published industry data, primary sources like platform payout disclosures and marketplace fee schedules, and the observable base rates of how often each approach works. Where the honest answer is 'most people who try this earn nothing', that is what the page says.
What we get wrong
Ratings are judgements, not measurements. Two people can run the same play and get results an order of magnitude apart, and survivorship bias distorts nearly every public number about entrepreneurship. Treat the scales as a way to compare options against each other, not as a forecast of your outcome.
How this is funded

The scales, in full
Every technique carries the same set of ratings. Here is exactly what each level means, so you can read a page without guessing.
Capital required
- No capital ($0) - Start with nothing but time.
- Low capital (Under $500) - A few hundred dollars for tools, fees or a first batch.
- Medium capital ($500 – $10k) - Meaningful savings required before you begin.
- High capital ($10k+) - Substantial capital, financing or investors needed.
Income ceiling
- Side income (Up to ~$2k/mo) - Useful money, but it will not make you a millionaire alone.
- Salary replacement (~$30k – $80k/yr) - Can replace a full-time job.
- Six figures ($100k – $999k/yr) - A realistic ceiling with skill and persistence.
- Seven figures ($1M+/yr) - Reachable by a small minority who scale properly.
- Uncapped (No practical ceiling) - Equity-based outcomes with no upper bound.
Risk
- 1/5 - Very low - Little to lose beyond your time.
- 2/5 - Low - Modest downside, easily recovered.
- 3/5 - Moderate - Real money or reputation at stake.
- 4/5 - High - Meaningful chance of losing your investment.
- 5/5 - Very high - Most attempts fail. Only risk what you can lose entirely.
