Privacy Policy

This policy explains what MillionaireGuide collects, what it does not, and what happens to anything you choose to give us. It is written to be read rather than to be legally impenetrable.

The short version

• We do not require an account, and there is nothing to log in to.
• We do not sell, rent or share personal data with anyone.
• The newsletter form is the only place we ask for personal information, and it asks for one thing: an email address.
• The quiz and the calculators run entirely in your browser. Your answers and figures are never transmitted to us.

The newsletter

If you submit your email address, it is sent to our server and stored in our database so that we can add you to the mailing list. Alongside the address we record the date, which form on the site you used, and the language you were reading in - nothing else. We do not store your IP address, your browser or your location with it.

The database is hosted by Supabase, which acts as our data processor. It is reachable only from our own server, never from your browser.

No emails are being sent yet. When we start sending them, this page will be updated before the first one goes out to name the sending provider, and every email will carry a one-click unsubscribe link. You can ask to be removed at any time by emailing us, with or without a newsletter to unsubscribe from.

We will never use an address collected here for anything other than the newsletter it was given for, and we keep it until you ask us to delete it.

Information collected automatically

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like effectively all web hosting, Vercel processes technical request data - IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, timestamp - in order to serve pages, apply rate limits and protect against abuse. This is standard server logging and is handled under Vercel’s own privacy terms.

We use the IP address of a request to the newsletter endpoint for rate limiting, held in memory only for a short window and never written to persistent storage.

Cookies and analytics

MillionaireGuide sets no tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics, advertising or social tracking scripts.

Your theme preference (light or dark) is stored in your browser’s local storage so the site does not flash the wrong colours on your next visit. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Data kept in your browser

The Wealth Path Finder saves your progress in local storage so a half-finished assessment survives a closed tab. Calculator inputs are held in the page URL so a result can be bookmarked or shared. Neither mechanism sends anything to our servers, and both are cleared when you clear site data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and similar laws elsewhere, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to receive a copy of it. Since the only personal data we hold is a newsletter subscription - an address and the few details listed above - the practical route to all of these is to email us and ask.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Changes that affect how personal data is handled will be made here before the behaviour changes on the site, not after.
